Members also collaborate through committees focused on funding, partnership development, governance, and planning our annual meeting.

Seats up for Election
Nonprofit: 2 seats

To be eligible for the nonprofit seat, the nominated member shall be professional staff for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Puerto Rico: 1 seat

To be eligible for a state/territory seat, the nominated member shall work for or with the state/territory government for which the candidate is nominated.
USVI: 1 seat

To be eligible for a state/territory seat, the nominated member shall work for or with the state/territory government for which the candidate is nominated.
State of South Carolina: 1 seat

To be eligible for a state/territory seat, the nominated member shall work for or with the state/territory government for which the candidate is nominated.
State of Georgia: 1 seat

To be eligible for a state/territory seat, the nominated member shall work for or with the state/territory government for which the candidate is nominated.
Local Government: 1 seat

To be eligible for a local government seat, the nominated member shall be a public-sector, career professional for a county, sub-state regional, or municipal government for which the candidate is nominated.
Requirements
All nominees to the Advisory Board are expected to: a) have professional experience in community resilience, natural disaster recovery, emergency management, and/or climate mitigation and adaptation, b) commit to a 3-year term, and c) have a professional address in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
To make or receive a nomination, you must be an SCDRP Member in Good Standing. Per the SCDRP Policies and Procedures, SCDRP Members in Good Standing are defined as Individual Members, Student Members, Supporting Partner Group Members, Sustaining Partner Group Members, and Benefactor Group Members with a current annual membership. Nominees should be willing to commit to a 3-year term if elected.

Members in Good Standing can nominate themselves or other Members in Good Standing, with their concurrence. To submit a nomination, fill out the Google Form here.
