About the event
Coastal areas in the southeastern United States face escalating challenges, creating an urgent need for decision support tools to help navigate complex global change. This seminar explores the development and application of such tools within the coastal conservation, wetland management, and aquaculture industries across the coastal Southeast.
The session will begin with an overview of current approaches to decision support tool development and implementation, presented by experts from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture, and the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University.
Following the presentations, a panel discussion will focus on strategies for leveraging and developing decision support tools that effectively serve diverse stakeholders throughout the southeastern United States.
