About the event
Event Overview: EPA in coordination with local water and wastewater systems, along with local, state, Tribal, and Federal partners is hosting a free EPA-sponsored tabletop exercise event focused on wildfire preparedness and response in Western North Carolina.
The event, which can accommodate virtual participation, will include informative presentations related to wildfire, as well as a TTX. The TTX will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the response to a hypothetical wildfire incident affecting water and wastewater systems. Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen coordination, communication, and preparedness for wildfire events affecting water sector utilities.
Who Should Participate: This event is open to representatives from all western North Carolina water and wastewater systems, tribal water systems, as well as their local, state, and federal response partners.
Continuing Education: North Carolina drinking water operators will earn 5.5 PGH credit and wastewater operators will earn 5.5 CEU hours for participating…
