The 2027 SCDRP Annual Meeting will focus on how to turn data and research on extreme weather, climate, natural disasters, and their cascading effects into actionable pathways to more resilient communities in the Southeast and Caribbean. This year's meeting will enhance the ability of resilience practitioners, emergency managers, and public officials to: 

• Understand where to source reliable, trustworthy data; 

• Interpret data and research in the context of their work and communities;

• Effectively communicate data to an array of audiences (the general public, policymakers, and other stakeholders);

• Turn existing and new data into meaningful action, whether that’s the public heeding flood warnings, securing mitigation funding, shaping new resilience policy, or implementing a resilience action.
