About the event
Georgia's 100-mile coastline provides extraordinary ecological, economic and cultural benefits. Yet, as our state's population and economy continue to grow, so do the pressures facing its coastal ecosystems.
Join partners across UGA for a symposium on linking environmental science, policy and humanities on the coast. National leaders will discuss their areas of expertise, followed by questions and networking opportunities. Speakers include:
Rachel Carlson, Associate Professor, Environmental Science, Policy and Change Management and Co-Director for the Center for Ocean Futures, University of California Berkeley
Mark Nevitt, Associate Professor, Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Emory University School of Law
Courtney Reich, Coastal Director, Georgia Conservancy
