Americans living along the U.S. coast face growing risks of flooding from more severe storms and rising seas. Unfortunately, many people have limited information about coastal flood risk. Without high quality flood risk information, people are not able to make fully informed investment decisions, are less likely to take steps to reduce flood risks to their property, and are less likely to support government measures to reduce flood risks and costs.
